ORDO – Usage Instructions, Warranty & Returns Policy

A. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and ORDO I ("we", "us", "our"). They govern your purchase and use of ORDO I products. By placing an order, using our products, or continuing to interact with us, you accept and agree to these Terms in full.

B. Updates to These Terms

We may update or amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will take effect once published on our website, and we will notify you at checkout or via email if you're an existing customer. Continued use or any new purchase after updates indicates your acceptance of the amended Terms

1. Usage & Care

• Dishwasher‑safe: Clean up to once daily in a professional dishwasher (≤ 90 °C / 194 °F, upper rack recommended). Leave open to air-dry.

• Material: Impact‑resistant plastic, not food‐safe — do not use for food storage or preparation.

• Hygiene: Always wash and dry tools prior to placement. The box is not airtight and does not prevent cross‑contamination, dust, or allergens.

• Chemicals: Use only neutral detergents. Avoid acids, bleach, caustic agents, solvents, and strong degreasers.

• Heat: Do not place on or near open flames, hot plates, salamanders, or ovens. Avoid proximity to heat sources.

• Moisture: Do not leave wet tools stored in a closed box for extended periods (risk of mould or odours).

2. Drop & Impact Use

• The box withstands light bumps only, but not drop impacts from worktop or higher.

• Internal modules should not be used or carried individually. Always secure the complete box in an appropriate casing (e.g., a fitted ORDO shell or tray) to maintain structural integrity.

• When transporting on trolleys or racks, ensure the box is fastened or secured to prevent sliding or falling.

• Damage from drops, improper transport, or misuse is not covered under warranty.

3. Prohibited Use

Use Case Why It’s Forbidden

• Storing food, liquids, or corrosive chemicals: Material is not food-safe and susceptible to corrosion.

• Placing electrical devices, batteries, or heated elements inside: Fire or melting hazard; voids warranty and liability.

• Using as a cutting board, work surface, or support for heavy equipment: Risk of structural damage; unsafe.

4. Warranty – 12‑Month Limited (Commercial Use)

• Covered (on delivery only): manufacturing or transport defects (such as cracks or warping).

• Excluded: damage due to wear, UV exposure, chemical/heat/drop incidents, improper washing, or tool-inflicted damage within the box.

• To claim:

  1. Inspect the shipment immediately; report transport damage within 48 hours.

  2. Email info@ordobox.be with subject “Warranty claim – [Order No]”, including photos and proof of purchase.

  3. Expect a response within 5 business days.

• Warranty applies to normal professional use; separate terms may apply for private (consumer) use.

• Expected service life under proper use: ≥ 2 years.

5. Returns & Refunds

5.1 Cancellation Rights (Consumers)

• Consumers may cancel orders within 30 days of receipt, no reason necessary.

• The cancellation period begins when the consumer—or a designated third party (not the carrier)—takes physical possession.

• Send a clear cancellation request to info@ordobox.be.

5.2 Return Conditions

• Applicable only to goods purchased within the last 30 days, unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.

• Cannot be returned:

  • Custom-made or clearly personalised items;

  • Perishable or expired goods;

  • Unsealed items unfit for return for hygiene/health reasons;

  • Items inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.

• Returns failing to meet these criteria may be refused.

5.3 Costs & Risks

• Return shipping costs and risks are the customer’s responsibility.

• Use insured, trackable shipping; refunds require proof of receipt.

5.4 Refund Process

• Refunds issued within 30 days of our receipt and inspection of returned items.

• Refund via the original payment method, with no additional charges

6. Shipping & Pre‑order Policy

• Pre‑order Shipping: Pre‑orders will only be dispatched once the product is fully ready. The expected delivery timeframe is November 2025.

• Delay Communication: If unforeseen circumstances delay this schedule, we will inform you via email within 24 hours with a revised estimated delivery date, ensuring transparency and trust.

• Free Cancellation Option: If you prefer not to wait, you may cancel your pre‑order at any time before shipment and receive a full refund, without penalty or deduction.

7. Legal Guarantee – EU & Belgian Consumer Law

• Under EU law, consumers have a minimum 2‑year statutory guarantee for non-conformity—this cannot be excluded or restricted, even if an additional commercial warranty is provided.

8. Liability

• ORDO is designed to organise mise‑en‑place tools—not for food prepping, heating, or heavy-duty transport.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability is limited to the purchase price.

• No liability for:

  • Tool wear/-damage in the box;

  • Damage resulting from misuse, heat, chemicals, impact, or modifications;

  • Indirect, consequential, or business losses (e.g. lost profits or downtime);

  • Force majeure events.

• This does not affect statutory consumer rights.

9. Intellectual Property

• ORDO®, ORDO ™, and the modular design are protected under Benelux and EU law (EUIPO registration).

• Our product design is protected by issued patents in multiple jurisdictions worldwide.

• All rights reserved.

• Unauthorized use or imitation may result in legal action.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

• These terms fall under Belgian law.

• Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghent, Belgium.
